Community Mental Health

UnitingCare Wesley Port Adelaide's Community Mental Health (CMH) programs support people living with a mental illness to live independently and manage their recovery and wellness. Consumers are encouraged to make choices about all aspects of life such as health care, housing, daily routines and community activities whether they are study, work or recreation.

There are a variety of ways people can access CMH services depending on the program:

  • most programs require a referral from Mental Health Services or Disability SA
  • some programs need a referral from a GP
  • a few programs are open to self referrals

CMH ensures services are accessible to consumers from diverse backgrounds and respects each person’s ability, gender, age, sexuality, cultural background, religion and language.
