The No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS) offers a viable alternative for people who face barriers in gaining access to small amounts of credit on fair and reasonable terms for the purchase of basic and essential household goods.

No Interest Loan Schemes are part of a national scheme initiated by Good Shepherd Youth & Family Services Victoria. Schemes are independently operated by community agencies throughout Australia.

You can borrow up to $1000 for:

• fridge or washing machine
• television
• water heater
• air conditioner (conditions apply)
• glasses and dental (conditions apply)
• other (subject to assessment)

No Interest Loans are available to people who:

have either a Current Centrelink Pension or Health Care Card or are on low income
and
have lived in their current address for at least 12 months
or
have lived in SA for 5 years.

No interest or fees apply. The loan can be repaid over 12-18 months.

This is a low interest loan from $800 up to $3000 through National Australia Bank. Funds can be used for:

• medical expenses
• cars
• education
• frdiges and washing machines
• computers
• furniture and house repairs

Loans are available to people who:

Have a current Centrelink Pension or Health Care Card or receive Family Tax Benefit Part A
and
have lived at their current address for more than six months.

No fees apply. A fixed interest rate applies for the life of the loan (6months up to 3 years)
