Improving the quality of men’s relationships
The Men and Family Relationships Program is a Commonwealth Government funded program that supports men in their family relationships. The program offers a range of support services including individual and couples counselling, support groups and educational courses on parenting and relationship skills.
Services include:
Counselling for men, either individually or with their partners, is available where personal issues are affecting their lives and relationships. Issues may include: relationship/family breakdown, parental conflict, stress, anger, depression, violence, anxiety, grief, drug and alcohol use, sexuality, self esteem, budgeting, communication, employment, accommodation, mental health, etc.
Small groups are offered that look at men's relationships with their partners, their children and other significant people. Issues explored could include: gender issues, boys/child development, family & other relationships, understanding and working with emotions, attitudes and behaviours, talking with children, communication, parenting.
We can support female partners or refer women to relevant parenting or relationship groups/services.
