This strategy has focused on the delivery of skills based training on practice issues such as attachment and primary care giving, challenging behaviours, supporting children and families in crisis and leadership within early childhood settings.
Provision of information sessions for parents/carers to share knowledge acquired and further develop the capacity of the community to provide peer support.
Promoting a focus on 'partnering with parents' to provide comprehensive care for children 0-5 years old. Utilising childcare as platform for engaging and supporting families.
Lady Gowrie Training Centre have delivered this Strategy for a range of childcare, preschools and kindergartens within the Communities for Children region of North West Adelaide.
