Read About It

The Read About It program focuses on developing children’s positive attitudes towards books and reading. Rather than teaching children to read, the preferred style is to build, strong foundations for emergent readers by encouraging language and communication skills. Speaking and listening play is a big part of literacy learning. To support the play, a Speech Therapist supports individual learning with techniques to develop children’s speech and language development in the home environment. Parents learn ways of supporting children’s literacy and language learning skills at home – which is easy, fun and rewarding.

Cover Charge $2.00, free crèche for younger siblings.
