Seaton Central
Seaton Central is an integrated family and children’s service, as a Communities for Children initiative (http://www.facsia.gov.au/). Facilitated through Uniting Care Wesley Port Adelaide, the initiative is funded through the Australian Governments Stronger Families and Communities Strategy. (http://www.facsia.gov.au/sfcs)
The multidisciplinary team at Seaton Central provides professional support in a ‘home like’ environment, conducive to children’s learning. Through supported play programs, adults feel a sense of belonging and the ability to have fun with their children. The bright ambience creates an atmosphere that invites families to join in through varying entry points, which effectively accommodates any family’s level of vulnerability or social requirements.
From much targeted groups, our families have the opportunity to be involved in other universal activities on a daily basis, depending on their day to day needs or abilities.
